SurfMet® 1 Belt Surfacer with Sink

is a durable single station coarse grinder that is ideal for

metallographic, spectrographic and macrohardness test specimen preparation. Complete with
belt cooling, debris flushing system and rinse sink. The heavy-duty motor offers superior
durability and performace. Separate belt flushing and coolant controls guarantee ample
removal of particulate matter from the grinding belt, providing efficient cutting action and
critical specimen cooling. The stainless steel sink with faucet allows the convenienve of quickly
grinding and washing the specimen in one location. Includes a selection of CarbiMet® Abrasive
Belts and operating instructions.

offers the user an exceptionally convenient and

economical instrument for manual grinding applications. The HandiMet® 2 provides a self
contained four-stage grinding station with controlled water flow for lubrication and cooling of

MiniMet® 1000

is designed for low volume laboratories preparing single specimens. This

semi-automatic grinder-polisher prepares a wide variety of materials using the three self
contained preparation bowls and easy-to-use touch panel controls. Its space saving design
employs a patented geometric action that combines the advantages of hand-lapping as well as
mechanical polishing. This motion provides a random polishing action, eliminating any induced

The PoliMet® 1000

series of high torque, variable speed grinder-polishers are designed to be

flush mounted into a table for hand preparation of a wide variety of materials. They offer speeds
of 100 to 1200 rpm, for aggressive grinding and polishing and are available in 8

Increase specimen production and consistency by adding an AutoMet® 2000 or 3000 to any
EcoMet® base unit converting them into a central force semi-automatic preparation system.
Both AutoMet’s are microprocessor controlled using a systems approach, important for
productivity and reproducibilty. The front facia panels feature a LED display, controlling such
variables as time, force, head direction, platen speed and fluid dispensing. The AutoMet® 3000
moves to the next level of automation by adding nonvolatile 99 method memory with 9 steps

grammable via an LCD with 25 proven Buehler Sum-Met

methods for a variety of materials,

plus available programming space for 25 modified Buehler methods or 25 user methods. This
technically advanced system is the first tabletop machine of its kind to prepare specimens
using the Zaxis

™

Macro Material Removal System, available with the PowerPro Series. Zaxis is a

unique feature that allows the operator to remove material by desired depth. Conventional
time-based methodology is available. Additional features include automatic force calculation
based on number of specimens and specimen size. Dual head speeds and variable base speeds
are all standard on all PowerPro Systems. CE marked.

is a microprocessor

controlled fully automatic specimen preparation system. This table-top system combines the
function of a semi-automatic grinder-polisher, a dispensing system, an ultrasonic cleaner, and a
specimen dryer into one compact affordable system. The BuehlerVanguard® 2000 will prepare
repeatably and consistently up to 6 specimens at a time, using either Single or Central force
application in combination with a microprocessor containing a 50 method memory for
specimen preparation methods. This microprocessor allows the user to select from 6
preinstalled proven Buehler methods and up to 44 methods defined by the user. CE marked.
