Getting Started
1.
Remove the battery compartment cover from the bottom of the unit, properly align and insert 2 AAA alkaline batteries,
replace cover.
2.
Uncoil the antenna and extend to its full length.
3.
Plug the unit into an AC power outlet. The factory default time of 12:00 AM displays.
Note:
Backup batteries maintain time, alarm, and radio station pre-sets; however they do not power the display, nor trigger the alarm
during power interruptions. For best results, replace batteries every 6 months.
Set Time
1.
With the radio off, press and hold the
Time
button until the time display starts to blink, then release
Time
button.
2.
Set the unit to the current time using the
Hr
(Hour) and the
Min
(Minute) buttons while time display is blinking.
3.
When the current time is displayed, press the
Time
button to confirm. The display will stop blinking.
Note:
When the time display starts to blink, the seconds’ timer re-sets to zero. If no buttons are pushed within 4 seconds, the unit
will revert to previous settings. When setting current time, be careful to select AM or PM, as appropriate, by monitoring the
PM indicator light.
Set Alarm
1.
With the radio off, press and hold
AL1
(ALARM 1)
button until alarm time starts to blink, then release
AL1
(ALARM 1) button.
2.
Set Alarm 1 time using the
Hr
(Hour) and the
Min
(Minute) buttons while alarm time is blinking.
3.
When the desired Alarm 1 time is displayed, press the
AL 1
(ALARM 1) button to confirm.
4.
For Alarm 2, repeat the remainder of steps 1, 2, 3 with
AL 2
(ALARM 2) button.
Note:
When setting alarm times, be careful to select AM or PM, as appropriate, by monitoring the PM indicator light. If no buttons are
pushed within 4 seconds, the unit will revert to previous settings.
Turn Alarm On
With the radio off, press
AL1
repeatedly to toggle between Buzzer and Radio alarm modes, as indicated by the buzzer alarm
indicator or radio alarm indicator lights.
Disable/Cancel Alarm Function
With the radio off, press
AL1
or
AL2
buttons, as appropriate, until both the buzzer and radio alarm indicators are off.
Wake to Alarm
When the alarm sounds, the appropriate alarm indicator blinks. The buzzer alarm sounds at average volume. The radio alarm
plays the most recently tuned station at the selected volume. Both alarm options sound for up to 1 hour.
Turn Alarm Off
1.
Press the
Snooze/Sleep
button to temporarily suspend the alarm for 9 minutes.
2.
To turn off the alarm, press On/Off button to re-set the alarm for the next day.
Listening to the Radio
Turning Radio On
Press
ON/OFF
to turn on the radio and toggle between AM and FM bands.
Auto station search and manual presets
With the radio on, press and hold the
T+
(Tune +)
or the
T-
(Tune -) buttons. The unit will automatically locate the first strong
station. When a desired station is found, press and hold the
M+
button, “P01” will blink on the display. Press the
M+
button to
enter it as a preset. Station frequency will display for few seconds. Same procedures apply for the next strong station. The unit
can store up to 10 strong signal stations per band.
Manual station search and manual preset store
With the radio on, tap the
T+
(Tune +) or the
T-
(Tune -) buttons. The unit will increase or decrease the frequency incrementally
with each tap. When a desired station is found, press and hold the
M+
button, the next preset number will blink on the display.
Press the
M+
button to enter it as a preset. Station frequency will display for few seconds. Same procedures apply for other
strong stations.
Listen to Preset Stations
With the radio on, press
M+
button to your desired station. The preset number and station frequency will be briefly displayed.
Adjust Volume
With the radio on, press the
V+
(Volume +) or
V-
(Volume -) buttons to adjust the volume level (00 – 16). The selected volume
will be briefly displayed.
Turning Radio off
Press and hold the
On/Off
button for more than 2 seconds.
Radio Reception
Uncoil the antenna completely for best reception. Taping the uncoiled antenna to a wall may improve reception.
Sleep Function
With the radio on, press the
Snooze/Sleep
button repeatedly to select between 90 and 10 minutes (in 10 minute increments)
of listening time. The radio will turn off after the specified time interval.

No power
Ensure power plug is connected properly
Check that there is power to the outlet
Unplug and plug the unit back in
No Sound
Adjust the volume
Poor radio reception
Move the unit away from TV or VCR
Fully extend the antenna
Alarm does not work
Ensure alarm indicator light is on.
Alarm goes off at midnight
Change the alarm time (Factory default is 12:00 AM)
Ensure alarm indicator lights are off
Single Alarm Function
Disable/Cancel one set alarm
